Feta Cheese

What is Feta Cheese?

Feta cheese is a tangy and crumbly cheese that originates from Greece. It is traditionally made from sheep's milk or a combination of sheep's and goat's milk.  It can also be made from cow's milk.

Nutritionally, feta cheese is a good source of protein and calcium, which are essential for maintaining strong bones and supporting overall bodily functions. It also contains B vitamins like Vitamin B6 and Vitamin B12, important for energy metabolism and nerve health.

Consuming feta cheese offers several benefits. The probiotics found in feta can support gut health by promoting a healthy balance of gut bacteria. Just be mindful of its sodium content and enjoy feta as part of a balanced diet.

It is possible to have a sensitivity or intolerance to one type of Feta and not another given the milk that is used to make it.  The molecular and chemical composition of each type of milk can cause these differences in your results.
