Plum

Plums

Plums are small, round or oval fruits with smooth skin and a sweet or tart flavor. They are typically harvested in late summer.

Plums are a good source of vitamin C, vitamin K, dietary fiber, and antioxidants. They support digestion and skin health. Plums are safe to eat, but the pits contain cyanogenic glycosides, which release small amounts of cyanide when ingested. While the levels are usually not harmful,( please be mindful of your results as these may indicate you should not consume them due to a sensitivity) it's best to avoid consuming large quantities of plum pits.

Plums can be eaten fresh, dried to make prunes, used in jams, baked into pies, or added to fruit salads.
